Terms of Service

Buy it once.
Use it properly.

Effective: 23 August 2026

The short version

You buy RawTake once and it's yours. The purchase is handled by Paddle, our payment partner. The charge on your card statement appears as PADDLE.NET. You get a licence for two Macs, every version-1 update included and the app works offline after activation. Your footage is yours, stays on your Mac and RawTake never modifies your original files. The rest of this page is the same deal in more careful words.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

RawTake is made and sold by 33mm Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14302242), registered office Greenbank, Waldon Street, Hartlepool, England, TS24 7QS. Contact: support@rawtake.app.

These terms cover the RawTake app, its trial, your licence and the rawtake.app website. By downloading, installing or buying RawTake you agree to them. You must be old enough to form a contract where you live; if you're using RawTake for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

2. Purchases are handled by Paddle

The checkout, payment, applicable taxes, invoicing and receipt are handled by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and its group), acting as merchant of record: the party you buy from. Your card statement will show PADDLE.NET. That's our payment partner, not a mystery charge. The transaction is governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and your receipt arrives by email from Paddle. You activate RawTake in the app with the email address you bought with. We never see your card details. 33mm Ltd grants the software licence described below.

3. Your licence

Buying RawTake gives the purchaser (you personally or your company if bought in its name) a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and activate RawTake on up to two activated Macs in your use (activations can be freed and moved; see section 6). Personal and commercial work are both fine. RawTake is a professional tool; use it on paid jobs freely.

One licence is one seat. A team where several people run RawTake on their own machines needs a licence per person, priced so that this is the easy, honest choice.

You may keep personal backup copies of the installer. The licence itself stays with you and can't be sold on, gifted after activation or pooled.

4. The free trial

RawTake offers a 14-day full trial: the complete app, no payment details required. When it ends, the app stops until a licence is activated. There's no cut-down mode and no tricks either way: we don't nag mid-trial and you don't circumvent, reset or extend the trial by technical means. One trial per person; if you genuinely need more time to evaluate, just ask: support@rawtake.app.

5. Updates

Every version 1 update is included: bug fixes, improvements and new v1 features, at no extra cost, for as long as we ship them. If we ever release a major paid upgrade (a version 2), it will be a separate, optional purchase announced well in advance. Your version 1 keeps working regardless. Updates are offered, never force-installed.

6. Activation, offline use and moving Macs

Activating confirms with our licence service that your purchase is valid and enables RawTake on that Mac. After activation, RawTake works offline: no account, no sign-in required. From time to time, when a connection exists, the app may confirm that your licence is still valid.

Replaced or wiped a Mac and run out of activations? Email support@rawtake.app. Freeing a dead machine's seat is routine and free.

7. What you may not do

  • Share, publish, resell or trade licence keys or activation tokens or activate RawTake for anyone outside your licence.
  • Circumvent, disable or interfere with the trial, activation or licence checks.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent law expressly permits despite this clause.
  • Rent, lease or provide RawTake as a hosted service to others.
  • Use RawTake to break the law or infringe others' rights. What you cut is your responsibility.

8. Your footage and your projects

Your media is yours. RawTake claims no rights whatsoever over anything you open, cut, tag or export with it. By design, RawTake only ever reads your source files and writes outputs to a separate destination folder. It does not modify originals. Your project data stays on your Mac and is never sent to us: no lock-in, by design.

Professional discipline still applies: keep backups of media that matters. RawTake is a workflow tool, not a backup system.

9. Ours: the app, the marks, the site

RawTake's software, design and branding, including the RawTake name and logo, belong to 33mm Ltd. These terms give you a licence to use the app, not ownership of it and no right to use our branding beyond honest references to the product. The website's content (text, images, demo footage) is ours too; browse freely, don't republish it as your own.

10. Feedback

If you send ideas, bug reports or suggestions, thank you. We may use them to improve RawTake without owing payment or credit. Your footage and projects are never "feedback."

11. Support

We provide reasonable-efforts email support at support@rawtake.app. We're a small, focused company. You'll usually get the person who built it. We don't promise response-time SLAs and support doesn't extend to editing your projects for you (tempting as that is).

12. Honest limits

RawTake is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make it dependable (outputs are verified before they land), but we don't promise it's error-free, uninterrupted or right for every workflow and we can't warrant third-party software (macOS, NLEs, codecs) we don't control. For critical deliveries, review your outputs, as you would with any tool.

To the extent the law allows, 33mm Ltd's total liability arising from or connected to RawTake is limited to the amount you paid for your licence and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost business or lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud) and nothing reduces statutory rights you hold as a consumer.

13. Ending the licence

If you seriously breach these terms (for example by distributing licence keys or circumventing activation), we may suspend or terminate your licence. Where the breach is fixable, we'll normally warn you first. Sections that by nature should survive (your footage remaining yours, our liability limits, governing law) survive termination.

14. General

If part of these terms turns out unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing a term isn't waiving it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a sale or reorganisation of 33mm Ltd, on the same terms. These terms plus your Paddle purchase terms are the whole agreement about RawTake. We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events genuinely beyond our control.

15. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections and venue rights of your home country.

16. Changes

If we change these terms, the effective date above changes and the current version always lives at this address. Changes never shrink a licence you've already bought.
